To all whom this reaches,
OCAD University and the Fine Art program at TAMK Institute in Western Finland have been working together in direct partnership for three years. Previous to that, they also have been involved with the exchange program with our school.
The past three years of this direct partnership has flourished a program called International Art Collaborations (INTAC). TAMK Fine Art has been one of three main partners in this collaboration, with approximately 30-35 students participating every year from each institution. TAMK Fine Art has invested and put in an immeasurable amount of effort in order for our program to develop and progress. They have funded exhibition spaces as well as have come to Toronto to exhibit their work alongside participants in the INTAC program during the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival. The relationships between the students and professors from all the participating schools have had an impact on each individual.
The TAMK Fine Art program is the only University level Art Education in the city of Tampere, and the school has now decided to completely cut off the program entirely.
- COMPLETELY END THE FINE ART PROGRAM -
They need our help in raising awareness and getting digital signatures for people who are against this decision. Here is the link:

If you could take a minute of your time out of your day, you can sign this petition and help save the Art Education in the city of Tampere. Imagine now if OCAD University had been completely ended within its first 10-15 years, how different the city would be and how much Art has changed the communities. There is no reason for this to happen. We must also take action and do what we can to get the University to reconsider their decision.”

We have made many different projects locally in our community and also internationally. INTAC is one of them. Please support us by signing and share this text!
